Last night, Thursday 26th November, saw some 40+ Companions log in to a Virtual Meeting of the Chapter.
It commenced, following a warm welcome from the MEZ, E. Comp. Peter Foulds, with an excellent presentation by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E. Comp. John Phenix, on the development of Royal Arch Ritual from its earliest foundations in Supreme Grand Chapter to that practised in the Province of Worcestershire up to the present day, concluding with the introduction to the new Worcestershire RA Booklet that has just been released, which has been designed to encompass the various new elements introduced, e.g. "Setting the Scene," the "Illumination of the Pedestal," and "Returning our Secrets to the Safety of Darkness," together with the necessary rubric.
This was followed by an interesting talk by E. Comp. John Sermon, PPrGSN (Worcs & Oxon), on the different RA Rituals that he has experienced both in the UK and Overseas during his many years in the Order. He cited, which was confirmed by others, that a visit to see the "Bristol Workings" is something which should be on every Companions bucket list.
The Meeting concluded with the MEZ Proposing the "Petition to Absent Brethren."
