A Special presentation of a donation from the Provincial Grand Chapter Charity Fund was made at the Provincial meeting in Worcester to Mr Howard Painter from the Hereford & Worcester Community First Responders.
The Hereford and Worcestershire Community First Responders, or CFRs are volunteers who are trained by the Ambulance Service to a nationally recognised level and provide life saving treatment like CPR, defibrillation and other life saving techniques for various emergency situations, prior to the arrival of the nearest available emergency ambulance, to people in their local rural communities within a travelling distance of eight minutes.
Companions may be assured that at our Provincial Chapter meetings we always have a “First Responder” in attendance to provide immediate aid to anyone who may require it.
They freely give of their time to provide First Aid cover for the duration of our meetings.
So the Trustees of the Charity Fund had no hesitation in approving the request to assist the H&W CFR in maintaining their tremendous work throughout our community.
Our newly installed Most Excellent Grand Superintendent - E Comp John Phenix, presented the cheque, along with his new Provincial team, E Comp John Yeates, PGStB, Second Provincial Grand Principal, E Comp Barry Griffin, PGStB Third Provincial Grand Principal and E Comp Mike Cox, PAGSoj, Deputy Grand Superintendent
