It was a difficult and sad evening for the 19 Companions who attended this, the Final Installation Convocation of the Chapter on Monday 11th October. Such was the significance of the evening that the Provincial "A" Team were in attendance led by the MEGS, accompanied by the 2nd and 3rd Provincial Grand Principals with three other Grand Officers and three Acting Provincial Officers in attendance, honouring the Chapters 49 years of service to the Order in general and Province in particular.
The evening commenced with a moving Eulogy presented by E. Comp. Joe Page, PPrGSN, who paid fitting tribute to E. Comp. Norman Hill, PPrGReg who had served the Chapter as MEZ in 1989.
The 3 Principals were then Inducted under Dispensation to serve for a third year with the formal addresses being given to The Robes and by the Provincial Team to the Chapter in their usual eloquent fashion.
Prior to the conclusion of the Convocation; where Notice of Motion was given to close the Chapter and return the Warrant on 29th November; the Treasurer announced that the Chapter Charity Fund, containing £381.15 will be donated to the Provincial Royal Arch Charity Fund which received a further boost at the Festive Board of a further £114.00 + Gift Aid. An extremely generous gesture.
In his address at the Festive Board the MEGS underlined his hope that all the members would join other Chapters in the Province and continue enjoying their Royal Arch Freemasory.
